Yeahhhh.... I finished my sand bag. Doesn't it look awesome?

I found some diy pictures of the sand bag throughout the Internet - mainly on Lisa-Marie's (BodyRock host) facebook. I was not planning in sewing the sand  bag now since I do not think I am ready for it. My arms are very weak, plus I already get sore just by doing the BodyRock challenges without any weight.
However, I found a blue fabric - that I thought it would be perfect for the sand bag - while at the fabric store.

Anyways, once I had the fabric might as well sew it.
Since the fabric was a deep navy blue I thought gray details would be better then black. And I loved the final results.

Now I just have to sew a inner bag to put the actual sand on, and then it is ready to be use. I think I will leave the inner bag for another week though.
Next project will be a Ugi ball.

UPDATE: If you also want to sew your own sandbag. Check my sandbag tutorial.

Do you know where to find instructions for an ugi ball or are you just going to wing it?

  5. Hi Olivia,
The instructions for the ugi ball, you can find at the bodyrock's website. If i am not mistaken at fitness tips - or something like that.
As for the sandbag, I just found pictures on Lisa-Marie's facebook page.
I was going to put a tutorial for the sandbag this weekend, but really did not had time. But I will put that up here pretty soon. :)

Did you see any change in your body? I am really impress about the changes I noticed. Amazing.

  6. Hi Bruna,

    That is an amazing Sandbag.

The homemade ugi ball was under Bodyrockers and is by Sara and it's here: http://www.bodyrock.tv/2011/09/20/home-made-ugi-ball/

I also made a pattern for what I call an ugly ball you can find the images and info here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/41740772@N06/sets/72157627464091553/

  7. Chris,
    Thanks for stopping by.
I actually found your ugly ball tutorial before I saw it at the bodyrock website. I am not sure which one I am going to ended up doing.
Your ugly ball is definitely identical to the ugi ball, but I think Sara's version seems a little easier.
Thanks for the tutorial by the way.

I just posted the tutorial for the sandbag, if you are interested go check it out.

  8. Bruna,
How much does this bag weigh total? Also, do you have a more elaborate template with exact measurements?
